Resident Services offers a menu of support options for seniors to choose from to help keep them as independent as possible. Whether they need help with bathing or dressing, medication reminders, wheelchair assistance or short treatment visits, qualified health care team members will come to their residence to provide professional, respectful support. Residents who take advantage of this program pay only for the services they need, when they need them, and can continue to enjoy an enriched lifestyle as an independent living resident without having to move to a higher level of care.

Life Care

We offer 2 options for Type A Life Care contracts. One is our Return of Capital plan, which offers residents smart asset protection. This contract requires a one-time entrance fee, 80% of which will be returned to you or your estate. The second Life Care contract option is a more traditional contract for those who prefer a smaller entrance fee. The smaller entrance fee will amortize over time, until eventually there will be no return of capital.

Under both the Life Care contract options, the resident will have access to a continuum of care with little change to their monthly fee. Though, the Return of Capital plan covers a private room in skilled nursing, and the traditional contract covers semi-private accommodation.

For those who cannot or do not want to invest in Life Care, we also offer the option to rent your apartment home. Seniors with a rental contract will have access to all the benefits of community living, but will not have the security of priority access to care.

The monthly fees include weekly housekeeping with linen and towel service; preventive maintenance; utilities (water, gas, electric, basic phone and basic cable); choice of several meal plan options; access to common areas, including the fitness center. Under either of our Life Care contracts, residents also have access to our long-term senior health care services. There are, however, additional charges for Resident Services, which is specialty care provided to independent living residents who need a small amount of health care support to remain comfortably independent.
The Sierra Winds Charitable Foundation provides confidential financial assistance for Life Care services to residents who, through no fault of their own, outlive their resources.
Both the entrance fee and monthly fee will vary according to the residence, senior apartment size and the number of occupants.
